Job Description
- Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
- Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates
- Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy
- Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained
- Supervision, training, and direct assistance of warehouse operations which include, but not limited to, loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, and inventory control.
- Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
- Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconcile discrepancies with the warehouse inventory system.
- Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.
- Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics to the Operations Manager on a weekly basis.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is perfferred
- Strong background with organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory systems
- Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the automotive industry
- Certifications ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 auditor and forklift certification and knowledge of safety standards are advantageous
