Job Description
Qualified service technicians are required to ensure that the hardware they’re responsible for servicing or repairing is kept in good working order and is correctly diagnosed if any problems arise. They should also be able to repair, replace or install complex machinery and devices in their specific area of competence, which might be automotive, engineering-related, or computer-related.
- Punctuality at workplace and arrival on time always.
- Start working on customer vehicles without delay.
- Reduce Idle Time and always maintain productivity.
- Clocking in and clocking out Autoline Clocking System.
- Clocking on and off each job when completed.
- Completes work WRITE UP including details of customer concerns and parts required.
- Analyses CUSTOMER PRIME ITEM and assesses the accuracy of the repair.
- Interpret worksheets, estimates and itemized job cards/service orders.
- Ensures vehicles are protected and kept clean during service and repair
- Ensures vehicle safety standards have been complied with when returned to customers
- Carries out vehicle health checks and identifies areas of concern
- Carries out preparations for new vehicles
- Interpret and implement technical data and instructions
- Conducts routine service work on vehicles brought into the workshop.
- Maintains tools and equipment and checks the calibration and general condition of workshop equipment in line with company policy.
- Suggests and implements changes to improve workshop processes and customer service
- Assist the Team Leader in daily work activities.
- Not to throw away any old parts unless given permission to do so.
- Maintaining a clean work bay before going home every night.
- Ensure all warranty jobs have their old parts returned to the parts dept.
- No customer communication always, do not take any gifts from customers.

- Be able to understand the repair manual or technical tip in English
- Ability to write a story clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with attention to detail
- Highly self-motivated, committed team player with the desire to learn
- Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
